![]() The tube chart is intact inside the head cabinet, with an "OA" date code that translates to January of 1965. The piggyback clips bars are no longer present. The head retains original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth, along the majority of the original hardware including corners, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet) and raised logo. ![]() All of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps are intact in the preamp, and an essential part of the smooth, musical sound of the Blackface-era Fender heads. Even the original filter caps are still functioning as intended, with stamps on the Minimite wrappers from the 2nd week of '65. The circuit is virtually untouched, with both Schumacher transformers dating to 1964 along with the original CTS pots. The amp excels at providing balanced and sparkling Blackface Fender cleans, with good headroom and touch sensitive overdrive bark when you dime it out. The perfect middle ground between the Vibrolux and the Bassman, the Bandmaster delivers 40 all tube watts via a pair of new, properly biased Tung Sol 6L6 power tubes. 100% original aside from a new convenience outlet, this head has all 1964 date codes aside from a January, 1965 tube chart stamp, making it a true Pre-CBS product with an early "Fender Electric Instruments" faceplate. Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Bandmaster head in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. ![]() Item: 173401340191 1965 Fender Bandmaster Blackface Vintage Tube Amp Head Pre-CBS AB763 Circuit.
